AHVAP Certification Center Policies and Procedures

The following policies and procedures are designed to protect the public from harm and ensure compliance with established international accreditation standards from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Each certificant that holds a credential issued by the AHVAP Certification Center is bound by these policies. Failure to abide by the AHVAP Certification Center policies and requirements may result in denial or revocation of certification.

Complaints: 

Complaints regarding any certificant holding an AHVAP Certification credential may be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Unsigned complaints will not be processed or honored. All complaints are treated as confidential. 

State Licensing Boards and Regulatory Agencies:

To verify a professional's Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHPTM) certification status, please use our online directory which is updated in real-time:

**To locate a certified professional, select the option for "Earners" and then type in the individual's name in the search.

Accreditation Standards:

The AHVAP Certification Center adheres to the 2021 NCCA Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs and International Standards ISO/IEC Standard 17024. This ensures fairness and protection for the candidate, certificant, and the public.

Communications Requirements: 

Please note that all communications with the AHVAP Certification Center must be from your official email address on file with your candidate and/or certificant profile in the SMT/Prometric system to ensure the privacy and security of your certification file. Please provide your full name as listed on your certification record or application, your full contact information including email and best contact number, and other important pertinent information that is helpful for our staff to best assist you. Please note that emails that are not from your official email address on file will result in a significantly delayed response and are subject to additional security verification including, but not limited to identify verification. These steps are necessary to protect personal and private information. 

Certificants are solely responsible for ensuring that their certification profile on the SMT/Prometric website is maintained with current contact information to ensure uninterrupted access to email communications from the AHVAP Certification Center. All automated emails regarding continuing education are sent from our international professional testing company: SMT/Prometric. The AHVAP Certification Center utilizes Zendesk for customer service management. Emails from the AHVAP Certification Center office may also be sent from [email protected] or [email protected]

Failure to maintain correct contact information may result in missed critical communications regarding recertification and other certification-related matters. If your email address, legal name, phone number, or mailing address change, please immediately contact the AHVAP Certification Center. The AHVAP Certification Center strongly recommends that all certificants utilize a personal email address that you will have ongoing access to vs. a healthcare facility address. This will ensure that you can access to your professional certification account at all times. Please ensure that you regularly check for communications from the AHVAP Certification Center in spam, quarantine, or other email folders. Many AHVAP Certification Center emails have specific time response requirements that must be adhered to. 

Please note that all legal name changes must be submitted in writing to the AHVAP Certification Center with a copy of the front and back of your legal, government-issued ID and marriage certificate. Changes to your official name on your certification may be submitted to [email protected]

All certificants are provided complimentary access to Credly, the world's largest digital credentialing system. Please note that this account is assigned based on your email address provided to the AHVAP Certification Center in your official certification record. This email cannot be changed once issued. The AHVAP Certification Center strongly recommends that all certificants utilize a personal email address that you will have ongoing access to vs. a healthcare facility address. This will ensure that you can access to your Credly account at all times.

Copyrighted Questions

All test questions are the property of the AHVAP Certification Center and are protected by federal copyright. Federal law provides severe civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or exhibition of copyrighted materials.

Test center administrators are not allowed to answer any questions pertaining to the exam content. If you do not understand a question on the examination, you should answer the question to the best of your ability. Opportunity for feedback will be provided in the post-exam questionnaire.

AHVAP Certification Center Office Hours: 

The AHVAP Certification Center professional credentialing team hosts quarterly, live Office Hours where you can learn more about the CVAHP designation (both for new certificants and those already holding the CVAHP Board Certification, our micro-credentials, assessment-based certificate programs, and recertification requirements. The AHVAP Certification Center recommends that all prospective and current certificants attend these quarterly sessions. Each Office Hours session is recorded and made available on the AHVAP University platform.
