TeamSTEPPS  Micro-certification 

The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP) Certification Center is pleased to announce the availability of a new live mini-certification program on TeamSTEPPS. The upcoming TeamSTEPPS training series that will equip you with the skills you need to improve teamwork and communication in your workplace. TeamSTEPPS is an evidence-based teamwork system that has been proven to enhance patient safety and quality of care. By focusing on communication, leadership, and situational awareness, TeamSTEPPS helps healthcare teams work together more effectively and efficiently. 

Our training series will consist of multiple sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of TeamSTEPPS. Topics will include:

  • Team structure and leadership
  • Situation monitoring and mutual support
  • Communication and information sharing
  • Mutual respect and conflict resolution

Whether you are a value analysis leader, professional, consultant, industry partner, or other healthcare professional, this training series will provide you with valuable skills that you can apply in your day-to-day work.

 The training sessions will be led by an experienced TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer who will guide you through interactive activities and case studies. You will have the opportunity to work with your colleagues to practice applying the TeamSTEPPS concepts in a safe and supportive environment.

Non-Member Price: $350.00

 Upon successful completion of the entire program, attendees will receive 6.0 hours of Continuing Education towards CVAHPTM recertification or nursing licenses/certifications. Upon completion of the certification test, you will be issued a digital badge highlighting your new microcertification through your digital badging partner-Credly.

 In addition, attendees will receive the following resources:

  • Electronic Participant Workbook
  • Electronic Quick Resource Guide
  • Implementation Guide 

The training series will take place over several weeks, with sessions held on a regular schedule. We will provide all the necessary materials and resources for you to participate fully in the training.

Medical Device Value Analysis Safety Specialist Micro-certification

The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP) Certification Center is pleased to announce the availability of a new micro-certification program on Medical Device Safety. This innovative micro-certification program is the first of its kind in the medical industry, and has been developed with input from both the United States Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Our training series will consist of multiple live, interactive sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of medical device safety. Topics will include:

  • Regulatory Aspects of Medical Device Registration, Approval, and Post-Market Surveillance
  • Medical Device Risk Assessment Principles  
  • Ensuring Compliance with Evidence-Based Guidelines for Medical Device Reprocessing
  • Addressing Medical Device Contamination and Outbreaks
  • Steps for Safe Medical Device Evaluation 

Whether you are a value analysis leader, professional, consultant, industry partner, or other healthcare professional, this training series will provide you with valuable skills that you can apply in your day-to-day work and protect your patients. This course should be attend by not only healthcare value analysis professionals, but also infection preventionists, patient safety officers, healthcare risk managers, and more! 

In addition, attendees will receive the following resources:

  • Electronic Participant Workbook
  • FDA Medical Device Safety Toolbox
  • Medical Device Product Evaluation Checklist Tool

The training series will take place over several weeks, with sessions held on a regular schedule. We will provide all the necessary materials and resources for you to participate fully in the training. Each participant will also complete a final project using the medical device risk assessment framework and apply it to a unique scenario from their facility or practice environment.
